Voltaren 12.5 contains diclofenac.  Diclofenac belongs to a group of analgesics called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAID is an abbreviation for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. NSAIDs are a group of analgesics that are widely used to relieve pain and inflammation, and include diclofenac, ibuprofen and aspirin. NSAIDs reduce the production of prostaglandins, which cause pain and inflammation.

Adults and children 14 years and over: Take TWO tablets initially, then take ONCE to TWO tablets every 4-6 hours as necessary.  Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.  Always take with food and a glass of water.  DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE.

Store below 30C.

Diclofenac potassium 12.5mg

Do not use for more than a few days at a time unless a doctor has told you to. Do not exceed recommended dose. Excessive use can be harmful and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and liver damage.

You should not use Voltaren Rapid 12.5 tablets if:

you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients
you have a stomach or intestinal ulcer, bleeding from the stomach or you have noticed blood in your stools
you have impaired kidney or liver function or heart problems
you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
If you have any other health conditions or you are taking any other medications, including those that do not require a prescription, always ask your pharmacist or doctor if Voltaren Rapid 12.5 is suitable for you. In addition, before you start taking any Voltaren product, carefully read the product information leaflet included in the pack for instructions on how to use.

Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Use lowest effective dose for as short as possible.

Do not take with other NSAIDs medication such as Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Mefenamic Acid. Please ask your friendly pharmacist.
