Controlled Release Iron Tablets containing Vitamin C for the prevention of iron deficiency anaemia.
Adult dose: one tablet daily or as directed by your physician. Can be taken on an empty stomach or after a meal. The tablet should be swallowed whole.
Dried Ferrous Sulfate BP 325mg (equivalent to 105mg elemental iron) & Vitamin C 500mg (as Sodium Ascorbate 562.4mg).
Lactose, sucrose and gluten free.
Iron supplements should not be taken for more than 12 months without consulting your healthcare professional.
Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced meal.
Do not use in haemochromatosis, inflammatory bowel disease and ostomy patients.
Oral iron supplementation usually takes 3-6 months to correct iron deficiency.
Take Ferrograd C with food if stomach upsets, diarrhoea or constipation become a problem.
Do not take calcium or antiacid supplements while taking Ferrograd C as they may reduce iron absorption. Tea, wine or coffee may also reduce iron absorption.
