Senokot is a reliably effective laxative to give predictable relief from occasional or non-persistent constipation. Works in 8-12 hours.

Adults and children over 12 years: Take 2-4 tablets at night.
Children 7-12 years: Take 1-2 tablets in the morning.
Children 2-6 years: Given only on doctor’s advice.

Once regularity has been regained, doses should be reduced and can usually be stopped. Senokot usually acts within 8-12 hours.
Doses can be repeated on a daily basis until bowel action is restored, but if there is no bowel movement within three days of use consult your doctor.

Each tablet contains 7.5mg sennosides.

Keep out of reach of children. Consult your doctor if:

Symptoms persist
You are pregnant or breast feeding
You have been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars.

Do not take if:

Your abdomen is tender to the touch or hurts when you move.
You have sharp or persistent stomach pain.

You may experience temporary, mild stomach pains. If you have these or any other symptoms after taking this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist. Drink plenty of water and increase fibre in diet, Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence.

ORS: The solution is best sipped every 5-10 minutes rather than drunk in large quantities less frequently.
